Atheist Loses His Mind Over Athletes Praising God

Hereโ€™s Why His Argument Fails

Atheists are the most miserable lot on the planet. A quick excursion through the mucky marshes of Reddit makes that clear.

It has become an echo chamber of angry, incoherent psychobabble. Without logic or evidence.

Atheists from all walks of life slander Christians (few other religions are ever mentioned; if they are, rarely in a negative light), mock God, discuss feelings, and pat each other on the back.

A one-sided display of pride-filled, purposeless camaraderie that would make the likes of Mao and Stalin blush.

They pretend theyโ€™re being intellectual, but all day you get vacuous comments like this:

Iโ€™d laugh if it wasnโ€™t so pitiful. These group therapy sessions.

Still, comments like the one above are convincing to many. โ€œYAAAS, BROOO!!!โ€ come the affirmations. โ€œThose Christians are the worst!โ€

But is there any truth inside his โ€œmini rant sessionโ€? No, and here are three reasons why:

1. Selfish Emotional Appeal

The initial paragraph is mere emotional blathering about how the world apparently owes him a nice afternoon watching football without mention of โ€œreligion.โ€

You can see the sheer mountain of hubris evoked by that sentiment. He views himself as superior from the start, proving a profound lack of objectivity.

Itโ€™s easy to get the image of some despot king on his throne condemning the plebes for disobeying him. Only the king is just another plebe whose authority doesnโ€™t extend beyond the confines of a virtual prison cell.

He presents as noble but then shares his envy of the players on the field. Their happiness and celebration disturb his misery.

God has nothing to do with it. Thatโ€™s just the front the atheist selects to mask the underlying covetousness of his inward thoughts.

What is actually wrong with athletes praising God and giving God the credit is never a topic brought up. At least, not yetโ€ฆ
