Absurd. Communism is collectivistic ideology which abhors independence. In fact, realising how much Christianity and Communism have in common, was one of the reasons why I rejected Christianity. And Your text is great illustration of one of those similarities - because both of those ideologies say "We bring freedom! But akchually, freedom is not possibility to do according to your will, no, no, freedom is when you live exactly as we tell you how you should live!".

Both function with forms of individualism. In communism, that individualism is victimhood (i.e. oppressed vs oppressor). In Christianity, that individualism is inherent human value based on the eternal Creator God making us as individuals in his own image.
Also, you don't think you worship anything, but there is always something that takes precedence over your mind and desires, something you're obsessed with a worship with rituals. You can deny it all you want, but it's a fact of human existence.

Being interested in something doesn't equal worshipping it. I am aware that any thing or anyone who I like, I am interested in etc. is not some Objectively Perfect Being Which Should Be The Most Important One For Everyone.
