Its a real tragedy. She also had kids and still made such a stupid decision. I wish them luck in their lives.

Wild that some people unsubbed after receiving this article.

Tragedies like hers should be making us think deeper, not run away.

Filtered out wrong people. And indeed, we can't let such events go forgotten or manipulated. We must face them, even if its uncomfortable.

This whole phenomena that's happening reminds me of the Entire Story of One Piece. For those who never read or watched the anime it is this era's Oddessy. The Lady who lost her life due to her own actions. She FAFO'd thanks to her "wife" telling her to Drive baby Drive running over the ICE Agent reminds me of a class of characters called The Tenryubito or Celestial Dragons thinking they can do as they please and harm others as they Wish with out consequence.

It sucks she lost her life and the "wife" should be, if not already be in custody for attempted murder of a federal Agent.

Now, I've been to Minneapolis several times last year. I went to one of the hotels where I met a fine black American fellow named Mo. We started talking and he was shocked when I told him about Illhan Omar and shared my condolences that they are stuck with her. He then told me "Sir Mo is Short for Mohammed, I keep my name short so I'm not lumped in with the Somali's as they cause issue for other Muslims in the state who came here through the proper channels." He wanted them gone. So, we lamented shook hands and I went to my room for the night. I remember how cold it was that night.

God did tell us to welcome the sojourner. However, He did not say to accept them and anything they do, He said they had to follow the laws of the place they went to.

I have known many legal immigrants, including my grandparents and my father-in-law. They came via the proper means and they follow the laws, work and support themselves and their families, serve our country in the military, are good citizens. Sadly, because of the criminals who are getting in all too easily and the need for ICE, many of the ones I know are afraid they will be targeted if they upset someone simply because of the country they came here from.

People need to wake up.

I don’t care where you came from, how you got here or how long you’ve been here, if you don’t follow the laws of the land you are living in you need to face any and all consequences of your actions.

People need to also realize that God is the ultimate judge, and He instituted the legal system to assist us - despite how flawed we have made it because, face it, we are all very flawed.

As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Exactly. We have never been commanded anywhere to accept all foreigners without expecting them to accept our culture and laws. Quite the contrary.

As a woman, I think I can add some insight that might not occur to men at first. There is an additional layer of authority for wives: (1) God, (2) husband, (3) government. It is sometimes necessary for a wife to defy her husband if he himself is not obedient to God because her obedience to God takes priority. Men who reject the authority of God should likewise have their authority rejected by women. We (women) find ourselves in this situation of prioritizing God over men more often than men find themselves in a situation where they need to defy a government that has rejected God and is acting against His will. I'm just saying, because so many men are not servants of the Lord, women are daily aware of the question, "Should I listen to him when he is not listening to God?" Sometimes the answer is yes because his own way is not opposed to God, but sometimes the answer is no because he has put himself in God's place, making himself a false god to his wife if she were to put him ahead of real God. I don't think I said this very clearly, but I hope you can get the gist of what I'm trying to describe.

You make sense. And I agree with you. Do you think the ICE agent was working in alignment with God or against him?

Only God knows for sure, but it seems to me that if a person breaks a law and that broken law is not itself immoral, then arresting them and taking further actions to stop their law-breaking is a duty of the government that, yes, is in accordance with His will. Laws that govern immigration should not forget the welfare of current citizens or deny foreigners any opportunities at all to join that citizenry.

I think, the problem is not our laws but that those laws were ignored by the previous administration so that people now think they are *entitled* to break them because so many people were allowed to break them in the past. They are like children who fight and scream about reasonable discipline because their parent indulged them once in a moment of weakness so why not let them get away with it again right now and forevermore?

𝕮𝖔𝖚𝖗𝖆𝖌𝖊𝖔𝖚𝖘 𝕮𝖍𝖗𝖎𝖘's avatar

Again, I agree with everything you said. I think you nailed the problem right on the head.

People have gotten so used to breaking laws they think laws are meaningless, until they need laws to affirm their point of view or protect them. Then, they're in support of laws.

But even then, they pick and choose the laws they agree with and disregard the ones they don't. It creates an endless double standard.

Children without discipline is a crucial analogy.

Well said. Every one of us must ultimately choose between autonomy and surrender to Christ, and if we surrender to Him whose Kingdom is not of this world, we must obey His command to be subject for His sake to every human institution. Our obedience as good citizens of the earthly kingdom we live in is a powerful proof for our belief in Christ's eternal Kingdom

𝕮𝖔𝖚𝖗𝖆𝖌𝖊𝖔𝖚𝖘 𝕮𝖍𝖗𝖎𝖘's avatar

Indeed. But at the same time, we must not let any human institution overstep its bounds. When it does, it enters into a place of demanding what isn’t owed to it. And we are never to give to institutions what isn’t owed them.

Very disturbing how you bear false witness against Renee Good. Nearly everything you said about her is a lie. I pray for your sake that you are simply misinformed by propaganda rather than consciously choosing to lie.

Everything I said about her is a lie? Interesting.

Point out every specific lie, then. And back it up with evidence.

Yet many people pretend they have no weaknesses. I think that’s where the real tragedy is because those people are disconnected from reality. They also tend to be the most vocal, which drowns out the humble with noise.
