Statement of Faith:
We believe God is eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing, triune, transcendent, and wholly good. He is the Truth of all reality.
God created the universe from nothing and then made humanity in his image. Male and female, he created them. In the heavens, he made spiritual imagers, and all his imagers, both earthly and heavenly, reflect his identity and contain his breath of life.
The universe is for us to explore, learn, and grow together in relationship with God, but in the Garden of Eden, the first humans disobeyed God by eating the fruit of knowledge without His permission, breaking a boundary that restrained chaos, nothingness, and death.
Sin and death entered the cosmos in the wake of this choice, perverting the very good creation, forcing God to banish humanity from the tree that would provide them with immortality.
Humanity mated with and listened to rebellious spiritual imagers until they fully corrupted their bloodline and minds, leaving only violence everywhere. God destroyed most of humanity in a series of judgments, and then He confused the languages of those who remained at the rebellion of Babel. He surrendered the nations over to other spiritual imagers who also rebelled, leading humanity further astray.
Through a series of covenants, God chose a nation for himself through whom he would bring his own Son into the world in the person of Jesus Christ, who gave his life on the cross and then rose again, conquering the curse of sin and death and re-opening the path to eternal life.
All who trust in him and faithfully follow him with allegiant obedience, allowing him to reform them - body, mind, and soul - back into the full corpus of the intended image of God, will escape eternal damnation in the fiery abyss of hell and experience an indescribable eternal paradise with him.
One day he will return in all glory to be Judge of the universe and remake the heavens and the earth to align with the intended purpose of the Creator.
Seeking to live out the two greatest commandments to love God with all that we are and to love our neighbor as ourselves as Christ Jesus prescribed, we hold fast to the words of the Apostle Paul in Galatians 5:16-23: “16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you
before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”
